Jennifer Arzola, LPC
My approach to counseling is grounded in the belief that we are wired for connection, and that our deepest sense of safety, identity, and belonging emerges within our relationships. When those connections feel threatened, inconsistent, or painful, it can leave us carrying fear, loneliness, or a sense of disconnection—from others and even from ourselves. Over time, these experiences can shape the ways we protect ourselves, often leading us to live in patterns of survival rather than from a place of emotional security.
In our work together, we gently explore these patterns through an attachment lens—making sense of how your past and present relationships have shaped your emotional world. We will slow down and tune into the emotions underneath the surface, helping you access, understand, and express them in new ways. As these emotional experiences are processed and reshaped, it becomes possible to move toward a greater sense of safety, connection, and resilience. Even in the midst of life’s challenges, you can begin to feel more grounded, supported, resilient, and open to moments of joy.
I see therapy as a collaborative and attuned relationship where you don’t have to navigate this alone. I will walk alongside you with care and curiosity as you make sense of your story, heal old wounds, and move toward more secure and fulfilling ways of relating—to yourself and to others.
We will shape this process together based on what feels safe and meaningful for you. If incorporating your faith is an important part of your identity and healing, we can thoughtfully include that; if not, your autonomy in this space will always be respected.
